A Waiting Game

Currently waiting for some books from Amazon UK. One has been very frugal and only requested used books in VERY GOOD condition. They are all for cooking gluten, dairy and refined sugar free. Had to the Amazon route as my local charity shops are not that advanced and most books on sale are from the 70's or 80's.

Don't get me wrong, they are brilliant for general meals and it's a case of swapping fall salt products for reduced or no salt ones etc but I wanted something more....

Since juicing my IBS has vanished!!! I no longer constipated, bloated & in pain. Yes, I'm a bit windy but I blame that on all the veg I now consume Bahahaha. Sorry too much info there lol.

Plus family have comented on how well I now look which is all good in my book and I was well chuffed I managed to fit into a uk size 16 yesterday....WOOOOOHOOOO!

Just need to see if I fit into sz 16 bottoms before i confirm I've lost two dress sizes. One so far is a happy bunny

Mean Green Wake-up Machine

Today's breakfast juice is from Jason Vales Turbo Charge Diet. Really need a kickstart this morning being as it's MONDAY!!!!! BOOOOO

I don't normally like ginger as it makes me feel sick but oddly when it's in a juice it doesn't have any bad effect.

The weather apps on my mobile predict sun but so far all we have has was rain. Lets hope it stays......finger's crossed. XX

Nothing like a mug of lemon tea with honey followed by a banana smoothie. Great start to what is going to be an active day for me today.

I use lemon tea bags with honey and my smoothie recipe is aa follows:

400mls Soya milk (you can use dairy if you prefer as I used to make this with skimmed)
1 or 2 Bananas (I used 2 due to a busy schedule)
1 Heaped tsp Sugar free Peanut Butter

Blend all ingredients until smooth. SERVES 1 to 2 people depending on glass size

A Very Berry Breakfast Mini Muffin & Spelt Loaf

Was rather productive yesterday morning, I made a batch of healthy breakfast muffins followed by an adapted Spelt bread recipe. With the bread, I did half and half of bicarb & baking powder an the result was a nicely risen almost creamy taste.

RECIPE

170 g Melted coconut oil
250mls Soya milk
1 tsp Vanilla extract
8 tbsp Rice Sugar Syrup
2 tsp Baking powder
250g Frozen Berries
375g Spelt Flour
3 Eggs

Preheat oven 180°c or gas 4
In large bowl blend oil, egg, milk, vanilla & syrup
In small bowl mix flour, baking powder.
Add small bowl to larger and wisk.
Fold berries into mixture then scoop into cases
Bake for 40 mins

So the post from my mobile didin't work.................

Double drats, and I hoped it would have shown my ventures of making spelt bread and later my honey & peanut butter cookies, which I might add were rather yumtastic. So I now continue to search the web for recipes that contain less wheat, no refined sugar, hardly any fats and basically low cal. The paleo recipes seem to be quite interesting as do the raw recipes but I have cut out red meat (pork, beef and lamb) and so only eat chicken, turkey and tuna. I have yet to acquire the taste of other fish as their scent and taste (the very fishy sort), send me running for a bucket/ loo to promptly remove my stomach's lining.

I do like REAL crab meat and not the fake cod sort and I also like prawns with all external body parts removed but that is it. Though when I have to start my treatment again, such foods will just turn my tummy over like a washing machine. I'm sure it's got something to do with the drugs you have to either jab in the tops of your legs or the tum. I prefer the tops of my legs but then I start to resemble a human pin cushion with various degrees of bruised shading and thus look more like a blotchy patchworked quilt.

To the aforementioned kitchen exploits, I may have to re-add them later once I have uploaded my phones photo's.

One is also looking for a way to update my facebook blog with my this blog instead it seems to want to update ones profile instead. Quite irritating when your not wanting some people to read stuff your not wanting them to see....ho hum!

UPDATE
I tell a lie, the mobile first bread just finally loaded

Thinking I need a change!

So I'm looking at this blog and I'm thinking the background is just a bit too wild for the eyes. Thinking I need a background change to maybe a more solid colour and to just make the banner more vibrant.
